A State College man was sentenced on Thursday to 20 years in federal prison for sexually exploiting a 14-year-old girl.
Kristopher R. Hall, 46, was also sentenced by Judge Jennifer Hall to 20 years of supervised release following his incarceration.
Hall pleaded guilty earlier this year to one count of attempting to produce images containing the sexual exploitation of a child. Four other charges were dropped.
According to federal prosecutors, Hall solicited the teen to send him sexually explicit images and repeatedly engaged in a sexual relationship with her for six months in 2021. He pleaded guilty in Cumberland County to indecent sexual assault of the girl and is scheduled to be sentenced in that case on Tuesday.
Hall also solicited and received sexually explicit images from three other girls between the ages of 11 and 15, according to a sentencing memorandum from the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Middle District of Pennsylvania.
A psychologist who evaluated Hall concluded that he has a “below average” risk of reoffending, but that he “has a long-standing pornography addiction that needs to be addressed as this is a dynamic risk factor for reoffending.”
The case was investigated by State College police and the FBI and prosecuted by the U.S. Attorney’s Office.
