A resident of the Penn State Mobile Home Park threatened to fire a gun inside a residence there Friday morning, Patton Township police said.
Police said another resident at the mobile-home park, 1752 N. Atherton St., alerted them to the situation about 8:45 a.m.
Officers responded and established a perimeter at the location, according to a news release from township police Chief John Petrick.
‘After a period of time, the suspect exited the trailer and was taken into custody without incident,’ the release reads. ‘At that time, the suspect was carrying two loaded weapons in a non-threatening manner.’
He was taken to Mount Nittany Medical Center for evaluation, according to the release.
It notes that police will share no more information about the matter.
The mobile-home park is not affiliated with Penn State University.
