State College police are investigating the use of counterfeit money at Walmart, 373 Benner Pike.
At about 10:30 a.m. on Friday, a male bought multiple items using counterfeit bills and then left in a dark-colored vehicle, police said.
The suspect is described as a black male with a thin build, black hair and a goatee. He was wearing a gray T-shirt at the time of the incident. The vehicle is believed to be a Honda Accord with some body damage and a partially open trunk.
Anyone who may be able to identify the suspect or who has information regarding the incident is asked to contact the State College Police Department at (814) 234-7150, by email or by submitting an anonymous tip through the department’s website.
