A 69-year-old State College man has died from injuries he suffered in a Saturday vehicle crash, Ferguson Township police said Monday.
The man, Ronald Witter, had been driving a Dodge Dakota pick-up truck on the 600 block of Berkshire Drive about 8:30 p.m. Saturday, according to a news release. The vehicle left the roadway, veered into the yard at 623 Berkshire Drive and struck two trees, police said.
Witter was thrown around the interior of the truck and suffered ‘substantial injuries,’ according to the news release. Police said he had not been wearing a seat belt.
He was taken by helicopter to Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, where he died, police said.
Details about the cause of the crash were not immediately available Monday afternoon.
