A State College area McDonald’s will be undergoing changes that will make it one of the first of its kind in Centre County.
Renovations to the McDonald’s restaurant at 2821 E. College Ave., near the Nittany Mall, will add new technology that changes the way customers order, pay and are served.
The new features will include digital self-order kiosks and table service in the dining room, digital menu boards and mobile order pay with a curbside service option using the McDonald’s mobile app, according to a news release.
“We’re grateful for the strong support McDonald’s has received from this community for many years,” said Joe Nyanko, the location’s owner and operator. “That’s why we’re making sure the new building is even more comfortable and convenient for our customers.”
The new restaurant model has already been rolled out at thousands of other McDonald’s locations worldwide, according to the company.
The location will remain open for business during the renovations.
