State College residents will have one less dining option in town. Ruby Tuesday, located at 1550 S. Atherton St., has closed according to the restaurant chain’s corporate office.
The interior of Ruby Tuesday is cleared, the furniture is gone and a forklift sits in the parking lot.
The restaurant left a note taped to the front door informing customers that it has closed. It informs visitors that they can head to Ruby Tuesday’s Mill Hall location, located at 281 Hogan Blvd.
The State College location’s phone is disconnected and the restaurant’s Facebook page has been cleared of all content.
The corporate office could not immediately provide additional information on the closing and has yet to provide comment. A news release on the company’s website says that Ruby Tuesday has closed 42 restaurant in the last year.
The note suggests that all questions be referred to the corporate office. StateCollege.com will provide updates if as we receive additional information on the closing.
