State police at Rockview are asking for help from neighboring residents as they continue to search for a 77-year-old Centre County man reported missing this week.

Leon Bowman, of Howard, was last seen between noon and 4 p.m. on Monday near his mailbox on Howard Divide Road. He “may be at special risk of harm or injury, or may be confused,” according to a Missing Endangered Person Advisory.

In an update on Saturday, police asked residents along Howard Divide Road and Marsh Creek Road to check outbuildings, garages and sheds for Bowman.

Neighboring landowners are also asked to traverse their properties to look for signs of Bowman’s whereabouts.

He is described as white, 6 feet tall, between 110 and 120 pounds, balding with a white beard and has brown eyes.

Anyone with leads or information on Bowman’s whereabouts is asked to call 911 or contact state police at Rockview at 814-355-7545.
