Graduation weekend has descended upon Happy Valley, from the line wrapped around the Lion Shrine of alumni-to-be waiting for photos to endless reservations booked for brunch.
Ceremonies begin at 5 p.m. Friday, starting with the Schreyer Honors College Medals Ceremony in the Eisenhower Auditorium, and continue, college by college, as follows:
- 8 p.m. Friday, the College of Engineering in the Bryce Jordan Center and the College of Earth and Mineral Sciences in the Eisenhower Auditorium
- 9 a.m. Saturday, the Eberly College of Science in the Bryce Jordan Center and the College of Agricultural Sciences in Eisenhower Auditorium
- Noon Saturday, the College of Communications in the Bryce Jordan Center and the College of Arts and Architecture in Eisenhower Auditorium
- 3 p.m. Saturday, the College of Health and Human Development and the School of Nursing in the Bryce Jordan Center and the College of Information Sciences and Technology in the Eisenhower Auditorium
- 6 p.m. Saturday, the College of Liberal Arts in the Bryce Jordan Center
- 10 a.m. Sunday, the Smeal College of Business in the Bryce Jordan Center
- 1:30 p.m. Sunday, the College of Education in the Bryce Jordan Center
- 4:30 p.m Sunday, the Graduate School in the Bryce Jordan Center
Speakers for the ceremonies include Stephen Chu, the U.S. Secretary of Energy, who will speak at the Eberly College of Science commencement ceremony.
