State College will loosen its parking restrictions this weekend as Penn State hosts the annual Interfraternity Council/Panhellenic Dance Marathon, the borough announced.
Streets marked with ‘No Parking 2 a.m. to 6 a.m.’ signs will see no enforcement of that rule from 2 a.m. Friday through 2 a.m. Tuesday, the borough reported. Likewise, the one- and two-hour parking limits in those areas will be lifted starting at noon Friday.
Still, the borough noted, no lawn parking will be allowed. And ‘if (snowy or icy) inclement weather is predicted,’ an announcement reads, ‘(street) parking will not be permitted.’
The borough reported it will continue to enforce bans on parking on sidewalks, on crosswalks, against traffic and in front of driveways. All other vehicle-code rules will remain in effect — and so will standard parking-meter enforcement, according to the borough.
