Comedian Joe Machi, who was born and raised in State College and graduated from Penn State, will perform on tonight’s (April 26) episode of ‘Conan.’
The show airs at 11 p.m. on TBS. It will be Machi’s first appearance on host Conan O’Brien’s show.
After graduating from Penn State, Machi was a supermarket manager and then a human resources assistant before moving to New York in 2006 to pursue stand-up comedy.
Machi found success in the city’s comedy clubs and in 2010 won first place in the ‘Emerging Comics’ contest at the New York Underground Comedy Festival. He made his network television debut on ‘Late Night with Jimmy Fallon’ in 2012.
In 2014, Machi made it to the final four contestants on season eight of NBC’s ‘Last Comic Standing.’ He got his own Comedy Central ‘Half Hour’ special in September 2016.
Machi also has appeared on The Chris Gethard show on TruTV. Coincidentally, Gethard is the lead guest on Wednesday night’s ‘Conan.’
