State College borough crews will use pyrotechnics to disrupt crows Thursday and Friday in the downtown, the borough announced.
The loud work will happen between 5:30 and 9 p.m. both days — as long as the weather cooperates, according to a borough announcement.
‘This process involves the use of loud noise makers to keep the crows from roosting in areas where they have caused health concerns in public rights-of-way,’ it reads.
It says the ‘harassment activities’ are planned for the 400 block of East Beaver Avenue and surrounding areas. The public-works office is fielding questions at (814) 234-7135 and (814) 234-7150.
Penn State has undertaken similar actions on the University Park campus in recent months.
