State College police are looking for a masked man who brandished a gun and robbed a Harris Township convenience store on Saturday night, authorities said.
It happened about 11:50 p.m. Saturday at the Uni-Mart at 224 Boal Ave., according to a police report. A white man armed with a black, semi-automatic pistol approached the clerk and announced the robbery, police said.
The man fled with an undisclosed amount of cash; he was last seen leaving the scene on foot behind the building, according to the report.
He is described as standing five feet five inches to five feet six inches tall, police said. He has a thin build and was wearing a navy-blue, hooded sweatshirt with a zipper; blue jeans; a dark, snap-brim hat; and gloves, according to the description from police.
His mask appeared like an ‘old man’ face, and he had something stuffed inside his sweatshirt to make him look heavier, police said. They said Patton Township police and their K-9 unit assisted at the scene.
