Movies
In ‘Chronicle,’ three high-school friends gain superpowers after making a remarkable discovery. Their lives soon spin out of control as they embrace their darker side. This movie is playing at the College 9 Theatre.
In ‘The Woman in Black,’ a young lawyer travels to a village where he discovers a vengeful ghost who’s terrorizing the locals. This movie is playing at the College 9 Theatre.
The State Theatre is showing ‘A Dangerous Method,’ about the turbulent relationships among fledgling psychiatrist Carl Jung, his mentor Sigmund Freud and Sabina Spielrein, the beautiful but disturbed young woman who comes between them.

Bars and Clubs
The Autoport will host swing-dance night with Swizzle Sticks starting at 8:30 p.m. Happy hour is set for 5 to 7 p.m.
At Bar Bleu , happy hour will run from 9 to 11 p.m.
Biscuit Jam will play at 9 p.m. at the Red Horse Tavern, in Pleasant Gap.
And at the Gingerbread Man, DJ Boner will entertain starting at 10 p.m.

Community Events and Performing Arts
Toftrees Golf Resort and Conference Center will host a cabin-fever party starting at 6 p.m.
The Bald Eagle Area Middle School Drama Club will present ‘Humpty Dumpty Is Missing’ at 7:30 p.m. at the Bald Eagle High School, in Wingate.
Sports
The Penn State Icers will take on Oklahoma at 7 p.m. The Penn State men’s volleyball team will take on Mount Olive at 7:30 p.m. Details of both events are available via this calendar page.
Saturday, Feb. 4
Community Events and Performing Arts
The State College Area School District Summer Youth Fair, scheduled for 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Mount Nittany Middle School, will spotlight Centre Region Parks and Recreation day camps and specialty camps.
Lady Antebellum with special guests Darius Rucker and Thompson Square will play at 7 at the Bryce Jordan Center.
The Shanghai Chinese Orchestra Chamber Ensemble will play at 7:30 p.m. in Schwab Auditorium.
A comedy-club fundraiser for Pets Come First is scheduled for 7 p.m. at the Ramada Inn in State College.
Sports
The Penn State Icers will take on Oklahoma at 3:30 p.m., and the Penn State men’s volleyball team will face Cal-Baptist at 7:30 p.m. Details of both events are available here.

Sports
