Kip is a 40-pound, 4-month-old yellow lab living with Penn State engineering student. Liam Geoghan. Kip is playful and cuddly, but it’s not all fun and games.

Geoghan balances school work, two jobs and a personal life to help raise Kip as a service dog and take him through training. Kip will live with Geoghan for up to two years, a time that will include lots of formal training. The Susquehanna Service Dogs organization has an on-campus program where a puppy can be placed in a college student’s home.

Centre County Report’s Lydia Aquino takes a look at the strict training schedule and what’s involved with raising a Susquehanna Service Dog that will go on to help someone with a disability.
