Penn State has announced what most fans already expected: Penn State’s Homecoming game against Michigan on October 12 will be the full-stadium “White House.”
The Michigan game should be the biggest home game of the year with potentially huge implications for both teams, especially if the Wolverines are still undefeated in October.
The game, coupled with the Homecoming celebration, should make for an insane atmosphere in Beaver Stadium. The whiteout tradition started in 2005 against Ohio State and has been officially practiced for the last eight seasons.
Last season’s whiteout against the Buckeyes drew 107,818 fans to Beaver Stadium. While the outcome this year will hopefully be a little different, the atmosphere will likely be just as crazy.
This week’s game against UCF has been declared a student-only whiteout.
