Thursday Is Penn State Day On Big Ten Network

It’s Penn State day on the Big Ten Network so Nittany Lion fans looking for a sports fix will be able to do that all day with some of the top sporting moments in Penn State history.

Programming started early Wednesday morning but with plenty of time left there are still a lot of classic moments for fans to relive.

The Big Ten’s Greatest Games: Football: 1985 – Alabama at Penn State: Penn State came from behind to defeat Alabama and hand the Crimson Tide their first loss of the season. The Nittany Lions went on to complete an 11-0 undefeated regular season. After Alabama scored the game’s first touchdown, Penn State climbed to a 12-7 lead, scoring all of their points on field goals. The Crimson Tide sliced the lead to two with a 45-yard field goal, but the Nittany Lions responded with an 11-yard touchdown pass from back-up quarterback Matt Knizer to push the game out of reach.
