Update (10:25 p.m.) — Police reported via Twitter that the person who took the wallet from the bus turned it into Nittany Mall security.

It appears that there is no longer an investigation for a crime related to this incident.

State College police are looking for two women who allegedly stole a wallet on a CATA bus this past Saturday, Feb. 13.

Officers were called to the Nittany Mall when a woman reported that her wallet was taken on the ‘M’ bus.

Upon exiting the bus at the mall, the victim realized that she no longer had her wallet. She re-entered the bus to find that her wallet was not on her seat.

Police officers reviewed the bus surveillance camera footage and said that ‘two black females are seen taking the item from the victim’s seat on the bus.’
