West Penn Power’s planned use of a low-flying helicopter to replace a utility pole at Millbrook Marsh Nature Center has been rescheduled for next week, according to an advisory from College Township.
The work near the bird blind at the nature center on Puddintown Road will now take place Aug. 15, with a rain date of Aug. 16. It was originally scheduled for Tuesday and Wednesday of this week but postponed due to helicopter availability.
“Be advised that nearby residents and businesses can anticipate seeing and hearing the helicopter, which will be flying at low altitude and hovering over the Marsh, during this work period,” the advisory stated.
The Millbrook Marsh boardwalk will be temporarily closed during the project, which is dependent on weather conditions.
