Virtual Town Hall Set For Census, Registration And Mail-In Voting Information

Central Pennsylvania residents are encouraged to take part in a virtual town hall titled ‘Counted & Ready to Vote’ this week to provide locals with more information regarding the census, voter registration and voting by mail in this November’s general election.

Taking place this Thursday (9/17) at Noon, the town hall will include remarks distinguished guests, in addition to representatives from the Census Bureau and PA Dept. of State. Those interested can watch and RSVP for the event here. The town hall is sponsored by Governor Wolf’s Advisory Commission on Asian Pacific American Affairs

Speakers during the event include Wolf, as well as State College Mayor Ronald Filippelli and Penn State President Eric Barron.

Additional speakers include the following:

  • Census 2020 Goodwill Ambassador, PA’s Second Lady Gisele Fetterman
  • President Margee Ensign (Dickinson College)
  • PSU Associate Dean of IST Prasenjit Mitra (Ferguson Township Supervisor)

 

The deadline for completing the census is Sept. 30 while the deadline to register to vote in Pennsylvania is Oct. 19.
