The Blue and White game is tomorrow, but the festivities have already begun! Visit StateCollege.com’s Blue and White Section for a complete weekend schedule!
Here’s the to-do list for today:
The All Sports Museum, honoring student-athletes and coaches through Penn State’s history, will be open from 10 a.m.-8 p.m. The museum is located at the southwest corner of Beaver Stadium.
Like live music? There will be live performances on stage from 4-10 p.m.
The Blue and White Carnival opens at 6 p.m. Stop by for food, games, and fun!
Love wings? Stop by Wing Fest from 6- 9 p.m.
Penn State Idol Finals begin at 7 p.m.
Don’t miss out on the Fireworks show, which starts at 9 p.m.
Performing Arts
Check out the Celebrate State Festival. Starting at 1 p.m. on the HUB Lawn, there will be various outdoor games, art displays, and free food. The festival will conclude with a live concert by Flobots at 7 p.m.
Come support The Mount Nittany Middle School as it presents its production of “Meet Me In St. Louis.” The big singing and dancing numbers are sure to please audiences of all ages! Don’t forget to bring your friends and family!
Tickets are $8 for adults and $5 for students.
The Penn State School of Theatre presents “Palmer Park.” Two professional couples — one black, the other white — become neighbors in Detroit after the race riots of 1967. Show begins at 7:30 p.m.
The Whiplash Dance Team is celebrating its 10th anniversary with the annual spring show at The State Theatre. The performance, titled “A Decade of Dance” will showcase several styles of dance ranging from Broadway, jazz, lyrical and hip-hop. Tickets are $12 for adults and $7 for students. Show begins at 8 p.m.
Movies
Can’t get enough action? It’s opening weekend for The Losers. After being betrayed and left for dead, members of a CIA black ops team root out those who targeted them for assassination.
Jennifer Lopez stars in The Back-up Plan, a romantic comedy about a woman who conceives twins through artificial insemination, only to meet the man of her dreams the very same day.
