Movies
Boy bands will be on showcase this weekend with the release of “One Direction: This Is Us” this weekend. The movie is playing at College 9 Theatre and UEC 12 Theatre.
Bars and Clubs
At Bar Bleu, Happy Hour runs from 10 p.m. to midnight, and Lowjack plays at 10:30 p.m.
At GMan, DJ Boner will be playing from 10 p.m. to 2 a.m. and $5 Bud Light pitchers
The Autport will have $5.50 martinis until midnight
Saturday, August 31
Soccer Shots, a program designed to introduce soccer to children in a safe environment, has opened its fall season. They soccer sessions where they teach basic soccer skills, have games and introduce a healthy sense competition into kids. The Saturday session starts at 9 a.m. at various locations in the area. Weekly Fall sessions also run on Monday Mornings, Tuesday Mornings and Thursday Evenings.
Sunday, September 1
Fraser St. Gallery Presents: A Walk to Remember: Countryside Narratives. 6 p.m. at the Fraser Street Gallery, 123 S. Fraser St.
Chuck Fong ane Maggie Wolszczan welcome Sean Bodley & Roxanne Naydan to exhibit some of their photographs. It is a “walk to remember” as photographs are “whimsical landscapes.” The entire exhibition will run until Sept. 23.
