UNIVERSITY PARK — WPSU will welcome families to its annual kids’ carnival, Eventapalooza, for an “Odd Squad”-themed afternoon at Penn State Innovation Park. The free event will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. on Sunday at 100 Innovation Boulevard in State College.
The first 500 kids who attend the PBS KIDS family event will receive an “Odd Squad” badge and ID card.
Activities and giveaways will include:
- STEM activity stations from Penn State and community groups
- Meet and greet photos with the Cat in the Hat, Nature Cat and Peg
- A free PBS KIDS book and other take home activities
- A sensory-friendly room
- PBS KIDS Apps station playing area
The PBS KIDS show “Odd Squad” uses math to investigate strange occurrences, and is designed for preschool and early elementary schoolchildren.
The first 500 children ages 2 through 8 at the carnival will receive a treat bag that includes a free PBS KIDS book, a Dairy Queen coupon and various WPSU and sponsor items.
