How Far Did Penn State Fall in Latest AP Top 25 Poll?

Following its first loss of the season, Penn State took a tumble in the rankings.

The Nittany Lions slotted in at No. 7 in this week’s AP Top 25 poll and no longer hold any first-place votes following a 30-24 double overtime loss to Oregon on Saturday night. They’re the highest-ranked one-loss team in the nation. The Ducks, meanwhile, jumped up to No. 2 and sit just behind Ohio State.

Penn State still has matchups on the road against the No. 1 Buckeyes and at home against No. 8 Indiana, which moved up three spots this week after defeating Iowa. Elsewhere, former Nittany Lion quarterback Beau Pribula and Missouri moved up to No. 19 after beating UMass to advance to 5-0.
