Penn State secured a win before taking the field on Saturday.
The Nittany Lions earned a commitment from three-star, class of 2027 offensive tackle Ryan Robbins roughly an hour before the start of the team’s Blue-White Practice. Robbins is ranked as the No. 19 Pennsylvania native, No. 67 offensive tackle and No. 723 overall prospect in the cycle, per the 247Sports composite rankings.
Robbins, who is listed at 6-foot-6, 270 pounds, is headed into his senior season at Upper St. Clair High School and is the 12th member of Penn State’s class. He’s the third offensive lineman in the group but the only offensive tackle, joining interior linemen Owen Reilly and Jon Sassic, both three-stars.
With the commitment, Penn State’s class sits at No. 7 nationally and No. 4 in the Big Ten, per the 247Sports composite. Robbins recently listed Ohio State and Virginia Tech in his top three schools, and he also held offers from Indiana, Nebraska, Pitt and others.
