Penn State football offensive tackle Caedan Wallace has declared for the 2024 NFL Draft, he announced Saturday on Twitter. Wallace intends to play in Penn State’s Peach Bowl game against Ole Miss.
Wallace is the fourth Nittany Lion to declare for the NFL Draft, three of whom said they’ll participate in the Peach Bowl.
“After much consideration, I have made the decision to declare for the 2024 NFL Draft following our upcoming competition in the 2023 Peach Bowl,” Wallace wrote in a post. “This decision comes with a mix of excitement and nostalgia as I leave behind the memories of Happy Valley, the 107,000 passionate fans and the unique spirit that defines this community.”
A redshirt senior, Wallace spent five seasons at Penn State. After appearing in four games during his redshirt freshman season in 2019, he was the Nittany Lions’ starting right tackle for the next four seasons.
Wallace joins Theo Johnson, Chop Robinson, and Curtis Jacobs in declaring for the draft. Only Robinson has elected not to play in the Peach Bowl, and few opt-outs are expected in the future. Wallace will wear his Penn State uniform one last time at noon on Dec. 30 in Atlanta, Georgia.
