Penn State Wide Receiver Trebor Peña NFL Draft Profile

One of three transfer wide receivers Penn State brought in last offseason, Trebor Peña likely did the most for his draft stock during the 2025 campaign.

After putting up 84 receptions, 941 yards and nine touchdowns in a pass-heavy Syracuse offense the year prior, Peña arrived with lofty expectations. He led all Nittany Lion wide receivers with 49 receptions for 552 yards and two scores. He added 12 carries for 73 yards, mainly on jet sweeps, and eight punt returns for 71 yards.

Though his production dropped in a run-first offense against tougher Big Ten defenses, Peña impressed with six grabs for 99 yards against eventual national champion Indiana and five catches for 100 yards in the Pinstripe Bowl against Clemson.

Though he’s on the shorter side, Peña is built well and specialized in finding open space in the defense. At Pro Day, he spoke to the San Francisco 49ers, Washington Commanders, New York Jets and Green Bay Packers, and he earned invites to Local Pro Days with the Jets, Baltimore Ravens, New York Giants and Philadelphia Eagles.

“I feel like we’ve been through a lot, but I feel like it was all worth it,” Peña said. “And you know, you learn a lot of lessons going through adversity and stuff that doesn’t always go your way, but find a way to bounce back. And I feel like, you know, we all persevered and pushed through and showed the type of people we are.”
