There wasn’t much clarity on Penn State’s pregame availability report.
Two hours before kickoff against Wisconsin on Saturday, the Nittany Lions released their Big Ten-mandated availability report. The two biggest questions, center Brock Riker and tight end Andrew Rappleyea, were listed as game-time decisions. They had previously been listed as questionable throughout the week.
Also listed as game-time decisions were safety Omarion Davis, center Dom Rulli and wide receiver Ethan Black. As expected, wide receiver Koby Howard, defensive ends LaVar Arrington II, Max Granville, Dayshaun Burnett and Mason Robinson, cornerbacks Joshua Johnson, Tyler Armstead and Christian Askew, linebacker Cam Smith, offensive lineman Will Tompkins and tight end Cooper Alexander were listed as out.
For Wisconsin, running back Abu Sama III, wide receiver Malachi Coleman, offensive lineman Emerson Mandell and tight end Ryan Schwendeman were left off the avilability report, meaning they’re cleared to play after all being listed as questionable earlier in the week. Out for the game are cornerback Cai Bates, wide receiver Jaylon Domingeaux, offensive lineman Michael Roeske and defensive lineman Xavier Ukponu.
