Penn State WR Trebor Pena to Wear No. 8, Other Jersey Numbers Announced For 12 Newcomers

A fresh group of players, including a pair of intriguing transfers, arrived on Penn State’s campus in May. And on Friday, these 12 newcomers received their uniform numbers.

Trebor Pena, the speedy wide receiver who earned All-ACC honors at Syracuse this past season, will wear No. 8. Meanwhile, linebacker Amare Campbell, a former starter at North Carolina, has received No. 24, last worn by Ta’Mere Robinson, who transferred to USC in April.

Pena and Campbell joined as part of a summer enrollee class that featured 10 freshmen, including the Nittany Lions’ top recruit of the 2025 cycle, five-star offensive lineman Malachi Goodman.

The 6-foot-6, 321-pound Goodman will wear No. 75 in his first season of collegiate action.

It hasn’t been long since Tyler Warren said goodbye to Penn State and ventured into the NFL. But his No. 44 jersey has already been claimed by freshman tight end Matt Henderson, who will have some significant shoes to fill while wearing the jersey of a Mackey Award winner.
