Arden D. “Pete” Homan, 87, of Woodward, passed away peacefully May 29, 2025, at Oak Glen-Lewisburg. Born October 5, 1937, in Aaronsburg, Arden was the son of the late Roy and Marian “Winkelblech” Homan. On August 17, 1957, he was united in marriage to his late wife, Patricia A. “Parr” Homan.
Arden is survived by one daughter, Karen Homan DeGarmo of Aaronsburg: two sons, Robert D. Homan of Rebersburg, and Keith A. Homan (Cindy) of Ormond Beach, FL: four siblings, Shirley Ponce (Hans), Wayne Homan (Jeanne), Larry Homan and Nancy Thomas (Sid) and his daughter in law, Kelli Musser of Aaronsburg. Also surviving are eight grandchildren, Lydia Homan, Lisa Dix, Adam DeGarmo (Kayla), Amanda DeGarmo, Carly Firth (Brad), Dustin Perrin, Caleb Bullers, and Bradley Musser along with four great grandchildren, Eric Rex, Rylin DeGarmo, Olivia Firth, and Blake Firth. Arden was preceded in death by his daughter, Terri Homan, son Doug Homan, daughter in law, Amy Homan and six siblings: Carol, Bruce, Lenard, Donald and Robert Homan, and sister, Alice Wance.
At the age of 16 he made his way to New Jersey where he worked on the largest dairy farm of that time. He was an employee of the former R.E. Breon & Sons for over 20 years delivering oil in the community. Most recently he was employed by Keenan Trucking until his retirement where drove a tanker truck of jet fuel because no one else would do it. Arden enjoyed golfing, playing softball in his younger years, playing cards, and spending time with his buddies at the coffee club. He also enjoyed watching Atlanta Braves baseball and Green Bay Packer football. He dearly loved his dog, Dusty, who will miss Arden.
In accordance with family wishes, there are no public services.
Contributions in memory of Arden may be given to the American Heart Association or American Diabetes Association.
