Carolyn E. Gamber, 87, of Julian, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 26, 2026, at Centre Care Nursing Center.

Born January 20, 1939, in Lock Haven, she was the daughter of the late Charles Emery Sr. and Geraldine (Glace) Emery. A 1956 graduate of Lock Haven High School, Carolyn carried throughout her life the strong work ethic and devotion to family that would define her.

On June 23, 1962, in Bellefonte, she married the love of her life, George Gamber. Together they shared nearly 50 years of marriage until his passing on March 17, 2012.

Carolyn faithfully served as the bookkeeper for the family business, Gamber’s Tool Co., for many years, contributing greatly to its success. She was a devoted member of Brookside Wesleyan Church in Julian, where her faith was an important part of her life.

Known affectionately as a “Top Shelf Cook,” Carolyn was especially admired for her homemade bread. Her kitchen was a place of warmth, comfort, and welcome. She found joy in playing the piano, tending her garden, and taking walks with her dear friend, Judy Dyke. Carolyn treasured staying connected with her classmates and was known for remembering birthdays and milestones with a thoughtfully mailed card.

She is survived by her two sons, Brian D. Gamber and his wife, Terri, of Julian, and David L. Gamber and his wife, Anne, of Titusville; seven grandchildren, Clayton, Robin, Eric, Jeremiah, Joanna, Jacob (Molly), and Jordan; and one great-granddaughter, Lucy. She is also survived by her brother, Charles Emery Jr. of Freemansburg; brothers-in-law, John Gamber (Afrose) of Elkton, MD, Edward Cain of Bellefonte, and Larry Cassel of East Greenville; niece, Marsha Fritz (Dave), and nephew, Jason Cassel, as well as other nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and beloved husband, Carolyn was preceded in death by her sister, Bonnie Cassel.

Public visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 3, 2026, from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m., followed by her funeral service at 11:00 a.m., officiated by Pastor Michael Fisher. Burial will be private at Centre County Memorial Park.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Daughenbaugh Funeral Home, Inc., in Milesburg, PA. An online guest book may be signed, and condolences shared with the family at www.daughenbaughfuneralhome.com.
