Connie R. Reed, 71, of State College passed away on Wednesday, January 5, 2022 at Mount Nittany Medical Center. Connie was born on August 31, 1950 in Bellefonte, a daughter of the late Harry and Margaret Bloom Houtz.
She was married to Ronald Reed, who preceded her in death on September 23, 2005. She is survived by her children, Lori (Stacy) Thomas of Loganton, Peggy (Brian) Shay of Centre Hall and Mandy (Terry Moore) Billett of Milesburg; also surviving are her 6 grandchildren. Also surviving are her siblings, Luther (Wanda) Houtz of Unionville, Robert Houtz of State College, Bess Chronister also of State College, Ronald (Betsy) Houtz of Bellefonte and Merle Houtz of Centre Hall.
Connie was previously employed at Wintron and was employed at Sam’s Club in State College as a demonstrator. Connie enjoyed doing ceramics, knitting, crocheting, word search puzzles and playing cards.
In addition to her parents, and husband, she was preceded in death by her brother, Harry Houtz and her sisters, Alice Hagenbuch and Beverly Emel.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
