Born August 22, 1967, in Greensboro, North Carolina, he was the son of Linda (Holbrook) Seifried, of Greensboro, and the late William Reavis. On October 9, 2004, he married Blythe L. During his service, he deployed aboard the USS George Washington for six months in support of Operations Iraqi Freedom and Enduring Freedom. He later continued his recruiting work in Seattle, Washington, where he retired with an honorable discharge in 2012.

After retiring from military service, David remained active, taking on various jobs and projects. He especially cherished time spent with his family—traveling together, playing board games, and coloring with his children. He also enjoyed taking walks with his beloved canine companion, Draco.

David was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in State College.

As his wife, my heart is broken, but I am forever grateful for the love, life, and beautiful family we built together. The 24 years we shared were the greatest blessing of my life, and I will carry his love with me always.
