Emily M. Umstad, 86, of 208 W. Peale Avenue, Mill Hall went Home to be with her Lord on March 28th, 2026.
She was the daughter of Clifford H. and Erma (Hoffman) Shady, both deceased. Emily was a 1957 graduate of Lock Haven High School. She retired from Poorman & Group in Lock Haven. Former employers include Hammermill Paper Company and Drake Chemicals.
She is survived by her beloved son, Clarence (Chip) Hill and his wife Elizabeth of Mill Hall. Also surviving are her sister and brother-in-law, Ruth and Thomas Holt, along with nephews Clifford Shady, III of Beech Creek, Jason Shady of Osceola Mills, Craig Jahelka of Maryland, and grandchildren Tammie Knecht (Michael) and Venus Moriarty, along with numerous great grandchildren and seven great-great grandchildren.
A Funeral Service for Emily M. Umstad will be held on Friday April 3rd, 2026 at 11am in the Gedon Funeral Homes and Cremation Services LLC, 121 W. Main Street, Lock Haven with Pastor Donald Grant officiating. Friends and family will be received in the funeral home one hour prior to services.
Burial at Rest Haven Memorial Park will take place at the convenience of the family.
