Grace Ellen Gordon, 62, of Bellefonte, passed away at home on Thursday, June 12, 2025. Born on August 26, 1962, in Altoona, she was the daughter of the late David C. and Sally A. (Blanchard) Rice. On February 11, 1984, at Eisenhower Chapel in State College, she married the love of her life, Lee R. Gordon, who survives her at home after sharing over 41 years of marriage together.
Grace was a 1980 graduate of Bellefonte Area High School. She dedicated her life to taking care of her home and raising her children. Later, she did return to college to earn her bachelor’s degree in Biobehavioral Health from Penn State in 2010. Due to her deep faith, she was also a devoted student of His Word in all its expressions.
In addition to her husband, Lee, she is survived by their three children, Sarah Gordon (Dhruva Chakravorty) of College Station, Texas, Michael Gordon (Jennifer Jeffrey) of Johnstown, and John Gordon of State College, and two granddaughters, Anoushka Chakravorty and Lyla Gordon.
Along with her parents, she was predeceased by a brother, David B. Rice.
Grace was an active member of the Faith United Methodist Church in Bellefonte. She was an avid Penn State fan, specifically Penn State football. In her free time, she enjoyed reading, journaling, visiting the beach and spending time with her grandchildren.
Family and friends will be received on Saturday, June 21, 2025, from 10:00 – 11:00 AM, at Faith United Methodist Church, 512 Hughes Street, Bellefonte. Funeral services will begin at 11:00 AM, with Rev. Andrew Morgan officiating. Burial services will be held privately at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are under the direction of Wetzler Funeral Service, Inc. in Bellefonte.
