Janet R. Eberhart, 87, formerly of Beech Creek, passed away on Sunday, December 12, 2021 at the Eagle Valley Personal Care Home in Milesburg. Born on April 23, 1934, in Lock Haven, She was the daughter of the late Charles and Eunice (Haagen) Peters. In August 1954, at the Blanchard Church of Christ, she married the late Gene E. Eberhart.

Janet was a 1952 graduate of Lock Haven High School. After high school, she was a housewife and later was a seamstress at Woolrich.   Janet was a life member of the Blanchard Church of Christ and loved her care group.   

Janet was warm, witty, spunky, present, loving, and always ready to play.  She loved children, especially her grandchildren, animals, nature, long walks and gardening. She was down to earth, strong, and caring.  She was generous and always took care of friends and family.  She liked traveling with her husband, sister, and brother-in-law.
     
Janet is survived by children: Shelley A. Eberhart of Bordentown, NJ, Duane S. Eberhart of Blanchard, and Phillip L. Eberhart (Melinda), of Stormstown.  Also, three grandchildren: Ryan (Heidi); Kaitlin Eberhart; and Thomas Eberhart, a sister, Maxine Thomas (Horace) of Merritt Island, FL.  She was preceded in death by Leroy (Gladys) Peters, Barbara (William) Heaton, Eleaner (Richard) Packer, Richard (Faye) Peters, Clair Peters, and Joanne Peters.  

A visitation service will be held at the Blanchard Church of Christ on Thursday, December 16, 2021 from 6-8P.M.  A service will be held at the church on Friday, December 17, at 11:00. Janet will be laid to rest at the Rest Haven Memorial Park in Lock Haven.
