Jann Richard Duck, known affectionately as Jann to his friends and family, passed away peacefully on November 29, 2024, at the age of 60 in State College, Pennsylvania. Jann was born on August 30, 1964, in Bellefonte, PA, and his life was characterized by his vibrant spirit and unwavering enthusiasm for his interests and loved ones.
Jann was predeceased by his father, Richard Duck, his sister Vickie Stephens, and his beloved niece Melanie Stephens. He leaves behind his cherished mother, Marylou Duck, his devoted fiancée, Ronna Parchman, and his niece, Michele Stephens, all of whom will miss him profoundly.
A lifelong resident of central Pennsylvania, Jann’s passion for sports was unmistakable. He was an ardent supporter of Penn State wrestling and football, and his love for the game of softball was evident to all who knew him. Jann could often be found cheering on his favorite teams, sharing his knowledge of the game, and celebrating every victory with the same fervor as if it were his own.
Jann’s legacy is one of joy, passion, and the deep bonds he formed throughout his life. His infectious laughter, unwavering support for his family and friends, and his ability to light up a room with his presence will be deeply missed.
