Jerry H. Singer, 85, of Houtzdale, Pa., went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, February 28, 2026, at Mt. Nittany Medical Center, State College.

He was born on March 5, 1940, in Bedford, Pa., to the late Kenneth and Rachel (Kanouff) Singer.

He completed his GED while serving in the U.S. Air Force.  He also was a graduate of Theology with honors from Liberty University in 1999.

During his working career he was employed by Conrail and also worked as an officer for the Railroad Union. In addition, Jerry was a truck driver and he plowed snow for Penn DOT in the winter until retirement.

Jerry was a member of Victory Baptist Church in Houtzdale; and was a founding member of the New Life Center in Philipsburg.

He is survived by two sons, Brad Singer and his wife, Dawn, of Philipsburg and Jody Singer, of Stroudsburg; a daughter, Lisa Cicconi and her husband, Victor, of Saylorsburg;  nine grandchildren:  Tyler Singer (Lydia), Brandon Singer, Ashley Mekis, Mallary Myers (Nik), Tarra Cassick (Mike), Trevor Myers (Ashley), Michael Pollisino, Carissa Nelson (Eric) and Cody Singer (Christina); fourteen great-grandchildren; a brother, Donald Singer, of Florida; a sister, Dee McClure (Dave), of Philipsburg; a stepdaughter-in-law, Ann Myers, of Sandy Ridge; and a stepson-in-law, Tony Pollisino, of Harrisburg.  Jerry is also survived by a former spouse, Sandy Singer, of Philipsburg and several nieces, nephews and other extended family members.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Kenneth Singer and Rodney Singer; a sister, Audrey Morgan; stepson, Tom Myers and a stepdaughter, Cherie Pollisino.

Among his favorite pastimes, he enjoyed reading, gardening, watching Pittsburgh Steelers and Penn State football and NASCAR races.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, March 14, 2026, at Philipsburg Cemetery, at 11:30 am, with Pastor John Dill and Pastor Nathaniel Berdine, officiating.

Military Honors will be accorded at graveside.
