Linda (Hall) Davis, 79, of State College, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully surrounded by family, on Friday, May 23, 2026. Born on April 17, 1947, in Highspire, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late Willard and Anna Mary (Smith) Hall. On March 25, 1972, she married her beloved husband, Kenneth F. Davis, who survives at home after sharing 54 years of marriage together. Linda lived a life defined by kindness, dedication, and love for her family and community.
Linda devoted much of her career to education as a teacher in Pottstown, Pennsylvania, where she touched the lives of countless students with patience, compassion, and encouragement. Teaching was more than a profession to her — it was a calling, and she took great pride in helping others learn and grow.
Linda also deeply treasured the lifelong friendships she formed growing up in Highspire and during her years at Indiana University of Pennsylvania (IUP). Her close circle of friends remained an important and cherished part of her life through the years.
Above all, Linda cherished her family. She is lovingly remembered by her brother, Larry Hall; her husband, Ken Davis; her son, Chad Davis; her daughter-in-law, Annie Moy; and her beloved granddaughter, Elly, who brought her tremendous joy.
Linda will be remembered for her caring spirit, quiet strength, and the warmth she shared with those around her. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
Funeral and burial services will be held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are under the direction of Wetzler Funeral Service, Inc. in Bellefonte.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in memory of Linda to a charity of the donor’s choice.
