Lynetta J. Rowley, of Centre Hall, passed away Friday, March 28, 2025. She was 72 years old. Born December 21, 1952, in Bellefonte, Lynetta was a daughter of the late Fred R. Stamm, Sr. and Helen M. “Rishel” Stamm. She was a graduate of Fort Myers High School in Fort Myers, Florida. On August 22, 1977, she was united in marriage to John W. Rowley, Sr. who survives.
In addition to her husband, Lynetta is survived by three children, Jeffrey J. Washburn of Martinsburg, WV, Melissa K. Emrick (Mark) of Montoursville and John W. Rowley, Jr. of Fort Myers, FL and two siblings, Fred R. Stamm, Jr. of Harrison, AK and Carol Reitz (Wesley) of State College. Also surviving are five grandchildren, Summer Lemeur, Raven Washburn, Destiny Rowley, Skyler McKibbins (Abby) and Dean Rowley along with three great grandchildren, Kira Barnhill, Kalila Washburn and Whitlee McKibbins. Lynetta was preceded in death by one sister, Marcia Kay Stamm.
In her younger years, Lynetta had been employed as a pharmacy technician and then most recently as a clerk in retail stores. Lynetta enjoyed vegetable gardening, often planting an abundance of fruits and vegetables. She enjoyed crafting and would make her family handmade Christmas gifts. Lynetta was of the Lutheran faith, enjoyed attending Grange Fair and was an avid Pittsburgh Steeler and Penn State football fan. Most important to Lynetta was her family, especially spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Lynetta will be laid to rest in Fairview Cemetery during a private family graveside service. Contributions in her memory may be given to the Penns Valley Hope Fund, POB 427, Centre Hall, PA 16828.
