Michael “Bear” A. Glasgow, 76, of Aaronsburg, passed away on Saturday, April 11, 2026, at Hershey Medical Center. Born on July 31, 1949, in State College, he was the son of the late Henry and Gloria (Wingard) Glasgow.

Michael was a 1967 graduate of Penns Valley High School. He furthered his education by earning his associate’s degree from Penn State University. He worked at the Pennsylvania Borough Forestry Service in the Woodshop Operations for over 25 years until his retirement in 2002. He was fiercely respected for his craftsmanship and woodworking skills. During his time of employment, he became and Extend Support Dispatcher, traveling all over the country for wildfires.

He is survived by his former wife, Kathy (Summers) Glasgow, and their three children, Jennifer Glasgow (Brian) of Bellefonte, Angela Bowersox (Korey) of McVeytown, and Aaron Glasgow of Centre Hall; 10 grandchildren: Mick, Sara, Thomas, Emma, Mason, Hunter, Stefany, Gage, Autumn, and Paisley, and two great grandchildren, Haiden and Bentley.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his companion of 28 years, Anita F. Newman, of October 18, 2025.

In his earlier years, Michael was a Life Guard at Poe Valley and a bartender at the Millheim Fireman’s Club. Additionally, he was a member of the New Breed softball team and a long-time member of the Tall Pines Hunting Camp in Millheim. He loved being outside, whether he was hunting, fishing, or just going for a mountain ride, he never took the little things in life for granted. He was well known for his mustache, even making an appearance on the jumbotron at a Pittsburgh Pirates baseball game! More than anything, he loved being with his family. Known for his giant personality, he leaves his loved ones with countless memories to treasure for years to come.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Wetzler Funeral Service, Inc. in Bellefonte.
