Alice Z. Young, 84 of Lock Haven, Passed away Thursday, October 15, 2009 at Jersey Shore Hospital. She was born on October 21, 1924 in Warsaw, Poland. She was the daughter of the late Eugeniusz & Jane Miller Zaremba.
She married Leroy Young on December 30, 1946, Leroy passed away in 1998.
She had worked at Bloomsburg Mill & Hammermill until her retirement. She was of Protestant Faith. She loved her grandchildren & great-grandchildren and spending time with all of them.
She is survived by 1 daughter; Evelyn L. D'Ercole and husband Daniel of Red Lion and 5 sons; Leroy and wife Cathy of Jersey Shore, Roger G. and wife Susan of Castanea, Ellis L. of Waymart, Darrell A. and Fiance' Marsha of Lock Haven, and James E. and wife Tally of Sandston, Va.
She is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter; Pearl C. Young in 1952, a son; Dale D. Young in 2009, and a granddaughter; Danielle Young.
Funeral services will be Monday, October 19, 2009 at 2:00 P.M. at the Kader-Neff Funeral Home, 135 W. Main Street, Howard, Pa. with the Rev. Wayne Hixon officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will be at the Summit Hill Cemetery.
