Darrell E. Rearick, 60, of Philipsburg, passed away on Sunday, May 20, 2018 at Mount Nittany Medical Center in State College. Born on March 31, 1958, in Camden, NJ, he was the son of Joseph G. Rearick, Sr. who is surviving at home in Port Matilda, and the late Leona J. (Cowher) Rearick.
Darrell was previously employed as a cook at the Corner Room in State College.
In addition to his father, he is survived by his companion of 21 years, Tracy Waite; four children, Amy Tennis (Shaun) of Port Matilda, Shannon Burns (Steve) of Milesburg, Cassidy Rearick of Philipsburg, and Alysha Waite of Port Matilda; six grandchildren, one great-grandchild, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Along with his mother, he is preceded in death by two brothers, Randy Rearick and Joseph Rearick, Jr.
Darrell loved cooking and grilling out for his family. He enjoyed fishing and being outdoors. Darrell was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan.
Funeral services and burial will be private at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are under the direction of Wetzler Funeral Service, Inc. in Bellefonte.
