Dennis J. Praskovich Jr., 49 of Howard, died Saturday, August 18, 2012 in Walker Twp. from injuries he sustained in a motor vehicle accident. He was born in Bellefonte, on September 26, 1962, a son of the late Priscilla White Praskovich and Dennis J. Praskovich Sr., of Bellefonte, he also survived by his step-mother, Janet Praskovich.
Denney is a 1980 graduate of Bald Eagle Area and a 1982 graduate of Thaddeus Stevens Trade School.
In 1992, he married Dawn Leathers, who survives at home.
Denny was a Grade 1 Machinist with the College of Engineering at Penn State. He was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church of Christ, Hublersburg. Denny was very involved and active with the Boy Scouts. He was an A.Y.S.O. soccer coach. He was an avid hunter and outdoorsman. He enjoyed spending time with his family, whom he loved very much.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by one daughter, April N. Praskovich (Clint Wagner) of Bellefonte; two sons, Kyle J. and Aldan J, both of Howard; one grandson, Trey Wagner; two sisters; Kimberly A. and her husband Paul May of Julian and Marcia K. Baker of Bellefonte, one brother Alan L. and wife Brenda Praskovich of Bellefonte and two sister-in-laws, Valerie and Kevin Barnes and Marilou and Michael Embick.
He is also survived by his mother-in-law, Donna Butler; and nieces and nephews, Logan and Emilly Embick, Maureen Zonge, Jamie Ellinger, Erin Stover, Jared May, Justin Baker and Ethan Kline. He was preceded in death by his mother and father-in-law, Donald Roy Leathers.
A memorial service will be held at the Trinity United Church of Christ, Hublersburg at a time and day dependent on Denny's wife's release from the hospital and will be announced when finalized. The Rev. Jeff Munnis will officiate the service.
