Dorothy Butts, 63, of Bellefonte, passed away Monday, Aug. 23, 2010, at home.
Born Oct. 17, 1946, in Bellefonte, she was a daughter of the late James and Dorothy Page Rossman. She was married to Donald Butts Sr. who preceded her in death in 1991. She was a Christian. She attended Bellefonte Area School and was retired from Penn State University. She was a member of the Pleasant Gap Legion.
Dorothy is survived by her son, Donald Butts Jr., of Bellefonte; and her daughter, Christine Simon, of Coleville; four grandchildren, Demetri Butts, Mitchell, Hunter and Saige Simon; and one sister Darlene Boone, of Marsh Creek. In addition to her husband and parents she was preceded in death by two sisters, Faye Garis and Mary Lomison; and one brother Joey.
Friends will be received Thursday, Aug. 26, 2010, from 9-11 a.m. at Wetzler Funeral Service, Inc., 206 N. Spring St., Bellefonte PA, with the funeral service immediately following at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Duane Bardo officiating. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
