James R. Renaud, 63, of Bellefonte, died Monday, July 19, 2010, at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville.
He was born April 2, 1947 in Wyandotte, Mich., the son of the late Felix R. and Verena Marx Renaud. On May 30, 1968, he married the former Susan Marie Addleman, who survives at home. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and U.S. Navy serving for 20 years. He was employed as an Air Traffic Controller for the U.S. Navy until 1988, and then as a radar operator/computer technician for U.S. Customs in Riverside Calif., retiring in 2005. He enjoyed playing chess, watching and playing golf, an was a Penn State Football fan.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Felicia Rae Renaud, of Sebastapol, Calif., and a son, J.R. Renaud, of Riverside, Calif. and his wife, Sarah. He is also survived by two brothers, Jack Renaud, of Locust Grove, Va. and his wife, Carrie, and Russell Renaud, of Fredericksburg, Va. and his wife, Linda; and by two grandchildren, Landon and Charlie Renaud.
A memorial service will be held at the Zion Lutheran Church on Sunday, July 25, 2010, at 1 p.m. with Rev. Brent Book officiating. Interment will be in the Boalsburg Cemetery.
