Janet L. (Quick) Force, 76, of Moshannon passed away at home on Wednesday, March 14, 2012. Born on May 29, 1935, in Philipsburg, she was the daughter of the late Allen W. and Mary E. Wagner Quick. She was married to Kenneth H. Force, who passed away on August 21, 1997.
Janet attended the Pine Glen School. She was of the Methodist faith and attended the Moshannon United Methodist Church. She was employed as a cook at Carl’s Crossroads Restaurant for many years, then worked at Toftrees for 10yrr, and then assisted numerous elderly people in the area.
Janet enjoyed helping others and loved spending time with her family.
Janet is survived by her children; Gregory Force of Moshannon, Janet Goss and her husband, Ernie, of Huntingdon, Deb Repasky and her husband, Ron Sr, of Moshannon, and Mary Tumbleson and her husband, Dana, also of Moshannon. Also surviving is her brother, Austin Quick, sister, Georgia Plubell, grandchildren; Travis Tumbleson, Darlene Hall, Ronald Repasky, Jr, Melissa McCartney, Amy Goss, E.J. Goss, and Stacy Goss, great grandchildren; Bret Hall, Tiffini McCartney, Samuel Kline, Lauren Kline, and Jackson Kline.
Along with her parents and husband, Janet was preceded in death by her three sisters; Jean Reese, Ida Quick, and Ruth Tully.
It was Janet’s wishes to have all services private.
