Josephine P. Swancer, 76, of Clarence, passed away on Tuesday, October 11, 2011 at Centre Crest Nursing Home, in Bellefonte. Born on March 12, 1935, in Clarence, she was the daughter of the late William and Suzanne Seprish Swancer.
Josephine attended the Clarence School. She was a homemaker. She was a member of the Queen of Archangel Roman Catholic Church in Clarence.
Josephine is survived by two brothers; Joseph Swancer of Clarence and George Swancer of Lewisburg, four sisters; Verna Josefczyik of Ohio, Elizabeth “Betty” Walker of Clarence, Cecelia Glace of Pine Glen, and Velda McCloskey of Snow Shoe. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Along with her parents, Josephine was preceded in death by three brothers and seven sisters.
Family and friends will be received on Friday, October 14, 2011 from 2-4 & 6-8pm, with a rosary service at 7:45pm, at the Daughenbaugh Funeral Home, 106 W. Sycamore St, Snow Shoe. Funeral Mass will be on Saturday, October 15, 2011 at 10am at the Queen of Archangel Roman Catholic Church in Clarence, with Father Jozef Kozacik officiating. Committal service will follow at St. Michael’s Catholic Cemetery in Clarence.
