Kevin Atwater died peacefully Wednesday, January 2, 2019 at Centre Crest in Bellefonte.
He was born December 29, 1960 in Bellefonte, and was preceded in death by his parents, Elton and Alice Atwater of State College.
Kevin is survived by his brother Andy and wife Jeanne of Altoona, his brother David of Pine Hill, N. J., and his sister Ellen of Bellefonte.
Kevin was loved by many, and returned that love with his smile, many hugs, and joy in the things he was able to do.
Kevin enjoyed car rides and trips outside, activities at Centre Crest, back rubs, Ferris wheels, and ice cream. He especially liked his Sunday car rides with his Dad, and their trips to virtually every carnival in Centre County during the summer months. Kevin enjoyed playing the piano with his father, and enjoyed all kinds of music, but was especially fond of Elvis.
Kevin was fortunate to have many people who cared greatly for him, and he was especially blessed to have the unending love, advocacy, and caring of Kathy Kelz.
Kevin’s family would like to thank the ARC of Centre County, the wonderful staff at Centre Crest, and Centre County MHMR for their care and support of Kevin.
There will be no public visitation, and private services will be at the convenience of the family. Interment will be in Friends Cemetery, Stormstown, with his parents.
