Mahlon A. Quick, 99, of State College, died Wednesday, April 15, 2015 at his residence.
Born on April 10, 1916, in Moshannon, he was the son of the late Alten and Clara Quick. On December 3, 1945 he married Mary Ann Yecina who preceded him in death on January 28, 2015.
He is the last of his generation. Mahlon is survived by three grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and two great-great grandsons. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by his son, Ira A. Quick and a granddaughter, Patty Ann Wagner.
Mahlon worked for Piper Aircraft where he learned to build and fly piper cubs. He also worked for HRB Singer for many years and then retired from Penn State University as an Electrician. He continued to build things in the world of radio electronics which he loved so much from his home shop.
Funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, April 18, 2015 at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church, 820 Westerly Parkway, State College, with the Reverend Neil Dadey officiating.
Burial will be in Centre County Memorial Park.
