Nancy C. Cain, 96, of Milesburg passed away March 13, 2016, at her residence. Nancy was born September 14, 1919, in Julian, daughter of the late Angus and Maggie Burd Weller.
She was a homemaker who enjoyed baking, cooking, crafts, sewing, making quilts, and crocheting. Nancy was a member of God's Missionary Church in Milesburg, where she enjoyed going to Sunday School and Church.
On October 2, 1937, she married John D. Cain, Sr., who preceded her in death March 1, 1978.
She is survived by six daughters, Joanne M. Leigey of Bellefonte, Flora N. Green of Oak Hall, Judy A. Cain of Milesburg, Anna M. Robinson of Coleville, Linda S. Cain of Milesburg, and Ruth L. Peters of Salona; six sons, Peter A. Cain of Beech Creek, Andrew J. Cain of Front Royal, VA, Philip E. Cain of Centre Hall, Benjamin F. Cain of Milesburg, Dale S. Cain of Milesburg, and Earl F. Cain of Milesburg; 21 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, and nine great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two sons, John D. Cain, Jr. and William D. Cain; a granddaughter, Beatrice “Peach” Green Ripka; one sister, Ruth Cain; and three brothers, Fred E. Weller, Howard Weller, and Merril T. Weller.
The Funeral Service will be held at God's Missionary Church, 218 Old 220 Road, Milesburg on Thursday, March 17, 2016, at 11:00 a.m. Pastor Michael Hoskins will officiate. Family and Friends will be received Wednesday, March 16, 2016, from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the Dean K. Wetzler Funeral Home, 201 Spring St., Milesburg. Burial will be at Eagle Cemetery, Boggs Twp, Centre Co.
